The Time Travels of Bishop and Shard (Mmere Dane) is a depiction of siblings Shard Bishop and Lucas Bishop, the time traveling mutant officers of the Xavier Security Enforcers (X.S.E.) created by Charles Xavier. The African Adinkra Symbol  Mmere Dane is incorporated in the piece. Mmere Dane translates to “times change” and represents a symbol of changing in life's dynamics. Authentic African Kente cloth is used as a frame border for the piece because Kente cloth is an aesthetic design intended as communication. The colors of the cloth each hold symbolism: gold = serenity, red = passion, orange = joy, green = growth & black = union with ancestors/spiritual awareness.
