"THE PURGE” explores the duality between pain and passion. How so much of our expression comes with the pain we go through and the purging in the act of creative expression that brings release.
 
This piece is about being at war with yourself as an artist. The purging can resemble blood or vomit at the inner trauma and violence that comes from experiencing life being afflicted by the human condition that paradoxically is so deeply tied to the beauty that we put out into the world and in the end helps us all heal as a society."
