This collaborative piece explores identity and self-worth through the experience of being biracial in a Black household. The ballerina and the seated woman are the same person — one suspended in performance, striving to meet expectation; the other grounded, witnessing herself with compassion. One reaches. One rests. Together, they reflect the tension between proving you are enough and learning to believe you already are. This work invites viewers to consider what it means to offer yourself grace in the space between who you are and who you feel you must be.
