Juxtaposition is a collision of discipline and desire.  A layered portrait of two artists who once devoted every fiber of their bodies to sport, only to discover that their deepest calling lived in art. In this collaborative work, Sarah Forge and Richard Samuel examine identity through reversal. A ballerina is painted through the lens of a football player. A football player is rendered through the gaze of a ballerina.  Juxtaposition asks: Who are we when the uniform comes off? What happens when strength learns softness? When grace learns grit? This work honors the transition from athlete to artist, not as abandonment, but evolution. It reveals that the same intensity once poured into sport now fuels canvas and concept. The same discipline. The same hunger. The same love.
