A different kind of Western. The cinematic equivalent of an ashtray in an Oldsmobile. Beat-up trucks replace horses, cheap draft beer is always on tap, and somebody probably has a knife tucked into their Luccheses.

I am as interested in a painter's ability to convey feeling through expression as I am in imagery itself. With Locked In The Trunk of A Car, my goal was to capture the atmosphere of a particular kind of Western film—one more concerned with a bag of stolen money than an evil cattle baron. A world of drifters, bad decisions, and people trying to outrun consequences that are already catching up to them.
