American History Vol. 2 Art Call

American History will be the 2nd edition to our 2 month-long art exhibit during Black History Month and March. The exhibit is dedicated to Black Art and the Black History that helped shape America. We are excited to run this exhibition back another year. Last year we garnered national attention and many artist were featured in media spreads throughout the city. We hope to propel the success this year as well. Thank you so much for applying.

The gallery exhibition will be on display from Feb. 4th - March 26th 2023 at RichesArt Gallery, Austin's only black-owned Gallery located downtown on East 6th Street.

We are seeking visual art in every medium and size that helps tell the beautiful story of Black Americans in America. We have room for every art form in every size. Please all mediums apply photography, 3d sculptures, 2d fine art, digital art, poetry, and music.

Deadline to submit is Sun., Jan. 8th.

Acceptance emails will be sent out on Jan 10th.

Art drop off will be from the Jan. 16th-31st

You can submit multiple times, but you will need to fill out the form again for each submission.

The opening reception is Sat., Feb. 4th.

The gallery split is 70/30 artist/gallery for any artwork that sells during the exhibition. Make sure to factor this into the price of your art.

There is no application fee.

Artwork labeled NFS will recieve second priority for being accepted.
