Inspiration : This piece centers around the fleeting nature of ideas, and how ideas can only grow where we water them. Leah made a mixed media animation video of Xavier’s creative process by printing and hand drawing on nearly 500 individual frames. The video follows Xavier through the process of brainstorming, getting distracted and doubting himself, finding his resolve again, and bringing his ideas to life on the canvas. The accompanying painting by Xavier further emphasizes these themes.
