Depression, anxiety, angst, grief and loneliness, sensitivity, empathy, love, happiness, positivity, laughter, hopefulness : despite its frequent occurrence we still find it difficult to discuss what we're going through.

Yet for centuries, the more complex parts of our psyches have served as an inspiration to artists who have depicted these very human experiences.

Featuring more than 30 works created by 7 contemporary artists, the Chaos exhibition at RichesArt Gallery will explore the impact that mental illness is having on society, and the role art can play to both encourage positive self-expression.

The exhibition will open from May 18th through June 19th, 2022, with an opening reception on Wednesday, May 18th from 7 to 9 p.m. at RichesArt Gallery on 2511 E 6th Street, Unit A.

Come on out, buy some local art, and let's encourage the importance of your mental health.

The exhibit will feature the work of these 7 local artists that include Xavier Alvarado, Wiley Ross, Ciera Mundy, Chase Kotzebue, Rachel Bell, Danny De Leon Jr., and Richard Samuel.
