Being from Colombia, I have always been inspired by the afro-latin roots of the country. The soul, the emotion, the beats that have influenced music all over the world for as long as we have known it. The connection to our rituals, and the struggles that people of color have had to endure throughout the times. I wanted to honor that divine-male within all of us in an afro-king. A person who has pursued their chosen path, actualized themselves by having open communication, loving and treating our powerful mamas with respect. One who is able to meet that divine feminine and aid in the creation of good souls with the male energy alongside the nourishing love that females bring to this world. A warrior that through beats, percussion, spoken word, expression and most of all—hip-hop is speaking us into a better world.
